Mars

The planet mars is red because it is rusty.It has lots of iron in it. Mars is covered in ice like earth and is thicker in winter. Mars is brighter than every planet expect venus. The air is mostly carbon dioxide on mars. At night time temperatures get down to -191F. nMars is the fouth planet from the sun. Mars is the planet right next to earth.

The Sun

The sun is one of  a billion stars. The sun is the closest star to Earth. The sun is 870,000 miles wide.
The suns surface is called photosphere. The sun is a middle age star which its in the middle of its life. It will keep shining for another 5 billion years. The sun rotates once every 27 days.

Looks of the star

Why are stars so bright? Stars are very hot. The sun is not the brightest star. The sun is just closest to us thats why it seems so big. The reason we cant see the other stars durning the day is because the sun is so bright. The stars are different colors because when they form through atoms there is diffrent tempature . The hotter it is it will have a buler color. If you have ever seen a match it is blue at the bottom and orange at the top. The stars are diffrent colors depending on there temapture.
